Murder 34 Year Old Man Shot And Killed In Convenience Store

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) — Fort Lauderdale Police Department tells us that a 34-year-old man, Steven Black, of Fort Lauderdale, was shot and killed inside of Tony’s Market on Sunday, March 13th, 2022.

From Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Office of the Chief:

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday,
March 13, 2022, at approximately 6:51 p.m. The incident occurred at 800 Northwest 22nd
Road in the City of Fort Lauderdale.

Officers responded to the area after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival on scene,
they located an adult male victim deceased inside of the business. The victim has been
identified as Steven Black, B/M, DOB 12/26/1987, a resident of City Fort Lauderdale.
Preliminary investigation has revealed the victim was inside of the business when an
unknown suspect walked into the store and shot him. After the shooting, the suspect fled
the scene. The store’s video surveillance system captured the shooting.
The suspect is a Black male, approximately 5’7, with a thin build, last seen wearing all black
clothing.

Detectives encourage anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may
have information about the identity of the involved suspect to contact Detective Orlando
