FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A man was killed and another was seriously injured in a deadly crash in unincorporated Broward County.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating a tragic accident involving two vehicles. The incident took place in unincorporated Central Broward, resulting in the loss of one life and severe injuries to another individual.

The collision occurred shortly before 8 p.m. On Tuesday, December 12th, near the 800 block of Northwest 31st Avenue. Initial findings from the on scene investigation indicate that Lacrystal Walker was driving a black 2022 Cadillac AT4 heading northbound on Northwest 31st Avenue, specifically in the left thru lane around the vicinity of the 800 block. Concurrently, an adult male driver and a female passenger were also traveling northbound within the same block in a white 2023 Toyota Corolla.

Based on investigators reports, it appears that while attempting to make a left U turn to head southward, the driver of the Toyota inadvertently crossed into the path of Lacrystal Walker’s Cadillac. This resulted in a T bone style collision between both vehicles, with significant impact occurring on the driver’s side of the Toyota.

Upon receiving notification about this incident, BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue promptly arrived at the scene. Paramedics provided immediate medical assistance and subsequently transported all individuals involved to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, despite efforts made by medical professionals, they were unable to save the life of the Toyota’s driver who was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The passenger from that vehicle sustained critical injuries and is currently receiving intensive care at said hospital. As for Lacrystal Walker herself (the Cadillac’s driver), she sustained injuries categorized as non life threatening.
