OAKLAND PARK, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — At approximately 7:15 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Northwest Ninth Avenue and Northwest 40th Street in Oakland Park. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded.

According to investigators, two of the victims involved in the collision were pronounced deceased on scene. A third victim was transported to an area hospital by paramedics for treatment. Detectives with BSO’s Traffic Homicide unit were notified and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash.

Due to the investigation, the northbound and southbound lanes of Northwest Ninth Avenue are shutdown until further notice. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.
