WELLINGTON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — The Village of Wellington is turning 30, and the community is being invited to celebrate together.

A free anniversary celebration is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Wellington Amphitheater. Admission and activities are free, and the event is designed as a large-scale, family-friendly evening marking three decades since the village’s incorporation.

Organizers describe the night as a hometown celebration, bringing together residents, families, and neighbors for live music, entertainment, and community activities along the lakefront.

Planned activities include carnival rides, a Ferris wheel, games, food vendors, and an ice skating rink. More than 20 vendors are expected to participate in a lakeside market area throughout the evening.

Entertainment Schedule

  • 56 Ace Band
    4:30 PM – 5:45 PM
  • Event Welcome with Council
    5:45 PM
  • Never Stop Believin’
    6:10 PM – 7:45 PM
  • Turnstiles
    8:10 PM – 9:50 PM
  • Fireworks
    9:55 PM

Live entertainment will run for most of the event, with Virginia Sinicki from The KVJ Show serving as emcee. Music is scheduled to begin before the official start time, with the 56 Ace Band performing from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. An event welcome with Wellington council members is set for 5:45 p.m.

Additional performances include Never Stop Believin’ from 6:10 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., followed by Turnstiles from 8:10 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. The night is expected to conclude with a fireworks display shortly before 10 p.m.

Village officials have issued a community notification regarding the fireworks portion of the event. A low-level fireworks display will take place off Lake Wellington from approximately 9:55 p.m. to 10 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas may hear brief fireworks-related noise during that time.

For safety reasons, the boat docks at the Wellington Community Center will be closed on Jan. 2 due to fireworks activity on the lake. The village noted that the display will be short in duration and conducted in a controlled manner.

As an equestrian community, residents are encouraged to take appropriate precautions during the fireworks, including supervising horses, pets, and young children.

Parking will be available on-site at Wellington’s Town Center, with signage directing drivers to additional overflow parking areas as needed. A free shuttle service will also be provided, running continuously beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Shuttles will operate to and from the Palm Tran bus stop located near Macy’s at The Mall at Wellington Green, offering an alternative option for those looking to avoid on-site parking.

The village thanked residents in advance for their cooperation and support as Wellington marks the milestone anniversary.
