BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2021) — On February 20, 2022, the Spanish River Park in Boca Raton, FL, will welcome the 14th Annual Boating & Beach Bash for People with Disabilities from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The event is hosted by the American Disabilities Foundation (ADF) to support those with both seen and unseen disabilities, and comes back to Spanish River Park after a period of uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic – a period which prompted the organization to host a remote event during the previous year.

“We couldn’t be happier to have our signature event return to Spanish River Park,” said ADF Managing Director Liz Schmidt. “In 2021, we answered calls for an event with a safe ‘Beep Beep Bash,’ but we were hopeful to be able to come back to the place where the magic really happens.”

Those who are in charge of the event are rebuilding relationships with sponsors, vendors, exhibitors, general entertainment and local boat captains to foster a refreshing event and bring the community back together while remaining as safe as possible.

“This is a ‘feel-good’ event that we expect to welcome at least 2,000-3,000 back to Spanish River Park,” Schmidt said. “Although it is outdoors, we will be offering free masks at the entrances and planning for a smaller, safer footprint for 2022. Eventually, as conditions improve, we hope to greet our larger audience.”

Attendees come from all corners of the world and will have the opportunity to participate in completely complementary entertainment ranging from boat rides, beach and ocean access, a Kids Fun Zone, yoga activities, therapy animals, a barbeque and music – all of this will be in support of the guests’ various special needs.
