DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jimetta Williams was chosen by the African American Heritage Advisory Board to serve as Grand Marshal for the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade & Celebration on Monday, Jan. 19.

Deputy Williams was chosen in recognition of her heartfelt commitment to community leadership and service, and for a longstanding dedication to uplifting and empowering others.

She has long supported the City of Deerfield Beach for many years, including through her service as a school resource deputy.
