TAMARAC, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — BSOs Traffic Homicide Unit is currently looking into a collision that tragically resulted in the death of a pedestrian, in the area of ​​The city of Tamarac.

A pedestrian involved in a traffic accident passed away weeks after the mid-August crash. The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is looking into the details of the incident.

Detectives stated that a report was received by Broward County Regional Communications on Thursday regarding a traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian at the junction of West Commercial Boulevard and North State Road 7 in Tamarac on Aug 15th. BSO deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene The initial findings indicated that the driver of a 2007 BMW 328i was heading west on West Commercial Boulevard as they neared the intersection, with North State Road 7. During the incident an adult man named Kenton Edwards was trying to walk across the road, from the north side to the side when he crossed paths with a moving vehicle unintentionally. After the collision occurred the driver of the vehicle left the scene. Eventually came back later as told by investigators.

Paramedics took Edwards to Broward Health Medical Center for care after the incident happened to him on Sunday the 1st of September when he passed away, from the injuries he suffered in the collision that occurred earlier on that day. After his unfortunate passing away was reported by BSO’s traffic homicide detectives have been looking into the details of what happened during and after the crash to determine all factors involved in this event. The investigation is still ongoing as authorities continue their efforts to gather all information regarding this unfortunate incident.
