Davie Man Killed In Deadly Cooper City Crash

COOPER CITY, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A 64-year-old Davie man has been killed late Sunday night after a single-vehicle accident on Pine Island Road in Cooper City.

William Watts of Davie was Killed after being involved in what Broward Sheriff’s Office says was a single-vehicle crash in Cooper City.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal crash that killed a man in Cooper City late Sunday night. 
According to investigators, at approximately 11:41 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, the driver of a 2017 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound in the 3200 block of Pine Island Road. For an unknown reason, the driver, William Watts, veered off the roadway and struck the curb on the west side of the road. After striking the curb, Watts then veered toward the center median where his vehicle sideswiped a tree and then hit another tree head-on.
Watts was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined that no other vehicle was involved.
