OAKLAND PARK, FL (Boca Post) — A child is in serious condition following a two-vehicle crash in Oakland Park on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the preliminary investigation revealed, around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, Michael Joseph McKenna was driving a 2020 Nissan Sentra heading southbound on Northwest 31st Avenue, approaching Northwest 35th Street in Oakland Park. At the same time, a 2011 Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Northwest 31st Avenue approaching Northwest 35th Street, when the Nissan turned left into its path

After the collision, the Nissan was redirected northbound where it came to a final stop. The Ford was redirected northeast and came to a final rest after striking a traffic signal pole.

Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the driver of the Nissan, and the driver and passenger of the Ford, to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment. The child sustained life-threatening injuries.
