96-Year-Old Kings Point Woman Killed In Deadly Crash At Kings Point Entrance

DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they are investigating an accident involving a fatality near the entrance of Kings Point in Delray Beach.

According to PBSO traffic homicide investigators, at 5:20 PM, on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022, a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Jog Road within the left turn lane at the intersection of Normandy Lane preparing to turn east on Normandy Lane.

At the same time, a Chevy Corvette was traveling northbound on Jog Road within the inside lane of travel approaching the intersection of Normandy Lane. As the Accord was entering the intersection, the driver of the Corvette began to make a left turn in front of the Accord.

The front of the Corvette crashed into the passenger side of the Accord. All 3 occupants were transported to Delray Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash.

Unfortunately, 96-year-old Rae Finander, passenger of the Accord, was later pronounced deceased at Delray Medical Center due to complications of her injuries.
