Grand Lux Café At Boca Town Center Permanently Closing

Boca Raton, FL – The Boca Post (BocaPost.com) (Copyright © 2021) — Cheesecake Factory, the owner of Grand Lux Café, has notified the State of Florida and local Boca Raton officials that they are permanently closing the Grand Lux Café located in the Boca Town Center Mall at 6000 Glades Road, Suite 1006, Boca Raton, FL 33431.

The notice, dated November 23rd, 2021, was provided to local officials as required by Florida’s ‘WARN’ Act (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification). The 11,000 square foot restaurant which seats about 300 opened in 2006 will permanently close it’s doors no later than January 31st, 2022.

The closure will cause the loss of 105 jobs. The following positions will be laid off:

  • 7 managers
  • 1 manager in training
  • 29 servers / food runners
  • 5 bartenders
  • 8 bussers
  • 1 support personnel
  • 22 line cooks
  • 5 prep cooks
  • 4 bakers / finishers
  • 11 dishwashers
  • 5 cashiers
  • 5 hosts
  • 1 steward
  • 1 cleaner
