One person has tragically lost their life in a car accident in the area of Central Broward County.
Around 4;44 p.m on Sunday October 6th detectives from Broward Sheriffs Office Traffic Homicide Unit were called to a car accident in Central Broward, near West Sunrise Boulevards 2200 block.
The initial inquiry found that Marcus Maurice Williams II was behind the wheel of a 2016 Honda Pilot heading east on West Sunrise Boulevard when it swerved out of its lane twice and hit two raised medians causing damage, to pole mounted road signs.
While driving along the lane towards the overpass bridge, on Interstate 95 in a Honda Pilot SUV the vehicle veered off the road to the north and crashed into two sizable palm trees. Subsequently flipping over onto a palm tree located on the grassy raised median.
The Fire Rescue team, in Fort Lauderdale arrived at the location where Williams II was declared deceased.
Investigators suggest that the accident could have been caused by an issue.
