What happened next was a chain reaction; the front of her Elantra smashed into the back of a Chevrolet, which in turn got pushed into a Freightliner. Luckily one person was in the Chevrolet. Aurelio Gonzalez. The drivers of the two vehicles weren’t even, in their cars when the crash happened.Something went terribly wrong in Pompano Beach. Gonzalez was lucky to get help away. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue rushed to the scene and took him to North Broward Medical Center. For a while it seemed like he might pull through. But on Monday, July 28 the hospital delivered news; Gonzalez had passed away. The authorities hadn’t given up on figuring out what had happened though. On Tuesday July 29 detectives, from the BSO Traffic Homicide Unit started looking into the crash that took Gonzalezs life. They’re still working on getting to the bottom of it all.
