Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash

Authorities from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are currently looking into a car accident that resulted in the death of a man in North Lauderdale Monday morning. As per reports by the investigators at the scene of the incident that took place after 3 a.m. near the 8300 block of Southgate Boulevard, in North Lauderdale. Initial findings suggest that a man was driving westbound in a 2014 Mercedes Benz E350 at the time of the collision. Authorities reported that the car unexpectedly swerved off the road and hit the median before crossing over into traffic and hitting a utility pole directly in a head on collision situation. Sheriffs deputies and firefighters, from North Lauderdale arrived at the scene promptly to assist. Emergency responders were able to extract the driver from the vehicle.
