At approximately 7:18 p.m., Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to a shooting call near the 900 block of Southwest 14th Street in Deerfield Beach. When emergency crews arrived on scene, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. He was later pronounced deceased. According to investigators, an adult male, possibly the shooter, fled the area and was apprehended a short time later with assistance from BSO’s K-9, Aviation and T.I.T.A.N. (Threat Intervention Tactics Analytics Network) Units. BSO’s Crime Scene and Homicide Units also responded and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting. The investigation continues.
