The detectives from Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are currently looking into an accident where a man lost his life in Weston area following a single car crash incident around 2 p.m.. The Broward County Regional Communications received an alert about a vehicle found in a canal close to U.S Highway 27 in Westons 1400 block location not long after this time frame was reported. Upon receiving this information officers from BSO and emergency responders from Sunrise Fire Rescue rushed to the scene immediately for assistance.The Sunrise Dive Team arrived promptly. Successfully retrieved Raul Yero Ramirez from his submerged 2001 Ford Explorer that was inside the canal. Regrettably Ramirez was declared deceased, at the scene following this event. The Traffic Homicide Unit detectives from BSO arrived at the location to conduct an inquiry into the incident that occurred there. Initial findings suggest that the Ford vehicle was moving southward in the lane and eventually veered off the road before colliding with the canal. As per the investigation details a bystander witnessed the car swerving and deviating off its path into the canal. Authorities mention that no other vehicles were sighted close to the Ford that could have caused the accident. The investigation is still, in progress.
