Authorities from Broward Sheriffs Office Traffic Homicide Unit are looking into an accident involving a car and a pedestrian in Pompano Beach that occurred late Sunday evening Investigators shared that around 9;20 p.m. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue rushed to respond to an incident where a person was struck by a vehicle close, to West Atlantic Boulevards 2600 block The initial investigation indicated that the pedestrian was crossing West Atlantic Boulevard when she collided with a 2024 Volkswagen Taos traveling eastbound. Following the collision incident the pedestrian was taken to Broward Health North due to injuries and unfortunately passed away early on Monday morning. The driver of the vehicle and his two companions did not sustain any injuries. Stayed at the scene. The ongoing investigation is still, in progress.
