On January 29th of 2025 detectives from Broward Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit have shared surveillance footage of an attempted robbery that took place in Central Broward near Fort Lauderdale last December. They are asking for assistance from the public in identifying and locating those for this crime. The incident happened around 8;25 pm time at Big Champs Food Store situated at 2409 N.W 15th Court as, per investigators reports. The security footage from the incident depicts two individuals armed and entering the store premises—one clad entirely in attire; the other donning a black hoodie adorned with a unique orange design on its arm and chest areas along with black pants and shoes worn by him as well both sported gloves and sunglasses while concealing their faces with masks. Upon entering the establishment to commit the crime in question one of them targeted the store clerk by brandishing a firearm at him; subsequently proceeding towards the back office in an attempt to gain access, to the safe.
