A 15 year old boy was taken into custody by detectives from the Broward Sheriffs Office Homicide Unit in connection with the shooting of a man from Dania Beach. It started when a call came in to Broward County Regional Communications after 8 a.m. On Tuesday August 19 about a body found near a canal close to the intersection of Ocean Waterway Boulevard and Old Griffin Road in Dania Beach. Deputies from the Broward Sheriffs Office and rescue workers, from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue rushed to the scene. When they got there they found a man later identified as Kevin Dominique, who had been pronounced dead.Tragedy unfolded when Dominique was found shot times. Homicide and Crime Scene units from BSO rushed to the scene. Soon discovered the shocking truth. It turned out that Dominiques own brother, 15 years old was responsible for the senseless killing. According to investigators the teenager intentionally shot his sibling at their home transported the body to where it was eventually found on Tuesday morning. The young suspect was taken into custody charged with first degree murder with a firearm and brought to the Juvenile Assessment Center, for processing.
