Judah Lion Sealy, 25, Arrested

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Judah Lion Sealy arrested by Broward Sheriff’s Office for threatening law enforcement. Filmed with a gun, posted threats on social media, now faces charges.

Law enforcement officers from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Fort Lauderdale Police Department apprehended Judah Lion Sealy for making threats to harm them.

As per investigators, on Monday, November 20th, Sealy was a passenger in a vehicle. In front of him, there was a marked patrol car belonging to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Sealy proceeded to use his phone to record the patrol car. He then directed the camera towards his lap where he displayed a semi automatic handgun with an extended magazine. Sealy turned the camera around to show his face and posted the video on social media, using slang language to express his intention of shooting the deputy. Detectives mention that on the same day, Sealy repeated this action with a marked patrol vehicle from Fort Lauderdale.

On Tuesday, November 21st, BSO detectives arrested Sealy and confiscated the firearm. He is currently held at BSO Main Jail and has been charged with one count of making written threats to kill. Additional charges are still under consideration.

The investigation leading up to this arrest was made possible through collaboration between BSO Threat Management Unit (TMU) detectives, Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response (VIPER) team members and Fort Lauderdale Threat Response Unit personnel.
