The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit (THI) is looking into an incident where a pedestrian lost their life due to a collision on June 28 in Central Browards area. 7;20 P.m. on that Saturday evening there was an accident involving a 2009 Subaru Impreza operated by Kervens Vincent and a pedestrian traveling on a motorized wheelchair, near Northwest 31st Avenues 1200 block. Following this incident Willie Dukes, the pedestrian involved, received attention at Broward Health Medical Center for his injuries and later transferred to Trustbridge Hospice Care for further treatment. He was declared dead on July 19th. The Broward County Medical Examiners Office reached out to BSO detectives about Dukes passing the following Monday, July 21st. BSOs THI unit took charge of the case by the day, July 22nd. The investigation, into the details of this accident is currently ongoing.
