An elderly woman of 80 years was found abandoned along North Powerline Road following a car collision that left her injured and unattended to by the driver responsible for the incident.The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is currently conducting an inquiry into the events preceding this hit and run incident.Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of, up to $10,000 for any details that could help identify and apprehend the individual(s) for this unfortunate occurrence. Around 7;57 p.m on Wednesday evening of January 29th in Oakland Park near the 3800 block of North Powerline Road deputies, from BSO were called to investigate a hit and run incident.The initial findings indicated that Barbara Price was hit by a vehicle while crossing from east to west outside of a designated crosswalk.The vehicle involved fled from the scene.Oakland Park Fire Rescue. Unfortunately pronounced Price deceased at that location.BSOs Traffic Homicide Unit detectives were. Arrived to begin their investigation. After conducting investigations and inquiries into the incident in question the authorities concluded that the vehicle involved was a light blue Land Rover Range Rover Sport SUV manufactured between 2005 and 2009. According to the investigators findings and reports from the scene of the accident; it was determined that the victim was struck by the passenger side of the Land Rover which led to her being propelled in a southwest direction, off the road.
