BROWARD COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) — A man is in critical condition after deputies say he was shot while driving northbound on I-95 near Broward Boulevard.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting on Interstate 95 northbound, south of Broward Boulevard in unincorporated Broward County. Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded and located an adult male that had been shot while driving on the interstate. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital with injuries listed as life-threatening.

At the request of FHP, detectives with Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
