Driver Killed In Two Vehicle Rollover Crash

The detectives in charge of traffic incidents at Broward Sheriffs Office are looking into a collision that resulted in a driver losing their life. Before 10 p.m. last Saturday. January 4th. Broward County Regional Communications got a call about a collision causing injuries near North Dixie Highway and Northeast 42nd Street in Deerfield Beach. Deputies from BSO and firefighters, from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue rushed to the scene where one of the drivers was tragically pronounced dead by emergency responders. Detectives stated that their initial investigation showed the driver of a 2008 Acura TL was heading south on North Dixie Highway when it collided with the front of a 2018 Nissan Sentra. Before the accident occurred; the Nissan was heading east on Northeast 42nd Street. Then turned left to head north on North Dixie Highway. The collision happened at the intersection where both vehicles met. Following the impact; The Acura kept moving and hit a wooden pole before flipping over and coming to a stop, in the lanes going northbound. Following the accident the Nissan stopped in the lanes. The driver of the Acura was declared dead at the scene. The Nissan driver mentioned no injuries. Two passengers, from the Nissan were taken to Broward Health North for non life threatening injuries. Investigators are still looking into the incident.
