At approximately 11;38 p.m. On Wednesday, August 7, two deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office were traveling north on Interstate 95 near Sheridan Street when they noticed their marked patrol cars being struck by something that hit the windshields. Later, they observed a single gunshot in the front windshield of each vehicle. Thankfully, neither deputy was harmed by the gunfire.
The Violent Crimes and Crime Scene units of BSO arrived to conduct an investigation. The inquiry is currently active and ongoing.
