Who Shot 23-Year-Old Emily Martinez?

WEST PARK, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — BSO is asking for information about a shooting that killed 23-year-old Emily Martinez in West Park.

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives investigating a shooting that took place in West Park last July have now released the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life. They are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in their investigation.

On July 8, around 9;55 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a distress call reporting a shooting incident near the 5500 block of Southwest 18th Street in West Park. Promptly responding to the scene, BSO district deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue found Emily Martinez with a gunshot wound. Martinez was swiftly transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital, where she was unfortunately pronounced dead. BSO Homicide Unit detectives have been tirelessly investigating Martinez’s homicide for several months and are now seeking assistance from the public regarding any relevant information pertaining to this case.
