HILLSBORO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — A 83 year old Hillsboro Beach man has passed away this week following an accident that occurred on December 5th, 2021 on A1A in Hillsboro Beach.

Alan Breward, 83, was pronounced deceased on February 7th, 2021, just 2 months after he was hit by a Nissan Altima driven by a 55 year old woman from Boca Raton. The Nissan was traveling northbound near the 1000 block of Hillsboro Mile (A1A) when Breward crossed the street directly in the path of the Altima.

Broward Sheriff's Office is reporting that neither excessive speed nor impairment are contributing factors to the crash.

BSO has been asked to investigate the crash per the request of Hillsboro Beach Police Department.
