UPDATE: Making Progress On Fire Station #40 In Boynton Beach

#40 Is The 50th PBC Fire Station. Will Increase Service Level For Unincorporated Boynton Beach.

UPDATE – 3/28/22

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue provides an update on the progress of Fire Station 40 on White Feather Trail in Boynton Beach. The following actionable items were completed since the last update:

  • Drainage structures installed
  • Concrete block walls installed
  • Generator building concrete walls complete

UPDATE – 3/11/22

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue tells us that station 40 is making great progress. The updated status is that the concrete slab has been poured, the 2nd lift of CMU has been installed up to the first tie beam, and the footing for the generator enclosure poured.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Palm Beach County Fire Rescue celebrates the groundbreaking of Station #40, the 50th Palm Beach County Fire Rescue fire station in Palm Beach County which will serve unincorporated Boynton Beach.

Station #40 will be located at White Feather Trail and Military Trail in unincorporated Boynton Beach. While the station was assigned #40, it will actually be the 50th station run by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Station #40 will support the surrounding neighborhoods and beyond increasing the level of service and response times for area calls by cross-trained and certified freighters and paramedics.

Celebrating the groundbreaking on Friday, January 7th, 2022, was Commissioner Melissa McKinlay, Vice Mayor Gregg Weiss, Chief Duren, Mayor Weinroth, and Commissioner Mac Bernard.

The single story fire station will be approximately 6,700 square feet with two fire truck bays and nine bunk rooms. The building will feature sophisticated communications systems for call alerting, detached generator for resiliency, a separate dumpster building, and a water retention system.
