BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A three-day family festival built around rides, food and watermelon-themed attractions is returning to Boca Raton this weekend.

Boca Post is a proud media partner of the South Florida Watermelon Festival, which returns to South County Regional Park in West Boca from April 10 through April 12 for its second year.

The South Florida Watermelon Festival is scheduled for April 10, 11 and 12 at South County Regional Park, 12551 Glades Road, marking the event’s second year in Boca Raton. Organizers say the festival will run Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The event is being presented by FOMO Entertainment Group, the team behind the South Florida Strawberry Festival. Organizers describe the weekend as a kid-focused outdoor festival with rides, inflatables, animal attractions, food vendors, shopping and watermelon-centered activities spread across the park.

That includes watermelon treats, classic carnival food, live entertainment and a mix of attractions aimed at both younger children and families spending the day together. Organizers are also promoting watermelon eating contests as part of the weekend lineup.

The festival’s entertainment slate includes the Pork Chop Revue, a pig show billed as a mix of comedy, stunts and family entertainment. A petting zoo is also planned, with animals expected to include piglets, dogs and a llama. For children, the event is also set to include soft play areas, bounce houses, obstacle-course inflatables and a Balloon Bubble House, an inflatable dome filled with floating balloons.

Amusement rides are also part of the package. Organizers list attractions including the Berry-Go-Round, Giant Fun Slide, Water Bumper Boats and the Scrambler, along with other rides for different age groups. The event is being marketed as all-inclusive for rides, inflatables and shows through certain ticket options, though food, shopping and game trailers will still cost extra.

Ticket prices vary by day.

On Friday, labeled Family Day, general entry is listed at $15. Admission with unlimited rides and inflatables is listed at $30. On Saturday and Sunday, entry tickets are listed at $18 for adults or children, while admission with an unlimited rides and inflatables wristband is listed at $35. Children age 2 and under are free.

Organizers are also offering a discount code, MELON26, for $3 off each ticket.

Parking at the event is listed as free. Paid upgraded parking is also being offered, with VIP parking for $10 available across the street and Premium VIP parking for $20 next to the festival grounds.

The festival is being promoted as a rain-or-shine event. Organizers say tickets do not need to be printed and can be scanned directly from a phone at entry. Pets and bikes will not be allowed inside.

For Boca Raton families and West Boca residents, the festival adds another large-scale seasonal event at South County Regional Park, a venue that regularly hosts fairs, sports programming and regional gatherings because of its size and location along the Glades Road corridor. With school-aged children out over the weekend and South Florida’s spring event calendar in full swing, organizers are leaning heavily into the family-market angle.

Skyler Mendieta, identified by organizers as Head of Brand & Experience, said the goal was to create a festival built around families and children while keeping the watermelon theme at the center of the event. Organizers also said April’s weather in South Florida made the timing a natural fit for an outdoor festival.

What happens next is straightforward. The festival opens Friday afternoon and continues through Sunday evening, with tickets already on sale online. Residents planning to attend should watch for traffic around South County Regional Park, review parking options in advance and be prepared for extra costs beyond admission if they plan to buy food, games or merchandise on site.

For families looking for a weekend event in Boca Raton, the draw is simple: rides, animals, kid attractions and a heavy dose of watermelon.
