Boca Raton Police arrested Duane Williamson, a 28-year-old Deerfield Beach resident, for DUI manslaughter on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023.

Police say that Williamson, who had a canceled license at the time, was intoxicated at the time he slammed his Audi station wagon into a Honda Civic full of teens, killing one of them in Boca Raton on March 18th, 2023.

Following their investigation, BRPD arrested Williamson and charged him with the following:

  • 316.193(3ABC3A) TCATS DUI MANSLAUGHTER
  • 322.34(6) DRIVING WITHOUT A DL CAUSING DEATH
  • 316.193(3ABC2) TCATS DUI SERIOUS BODILY INJURY
  • 3 counts of 316.193(3ABC14) TCATS DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE CAUSING PROPERTY DAMAGE OR INJURY (ENHANCED)

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — The Boca Raton Police Department is investigating a 4-car crash that left 1 dead near Dixie Highway and West Palmetto Park Road early Saturday morning.

According to the Boca Raton Police Department, at approximately 2:22 am, Saturday, March 18, 2023, four vehicles were involved in a crash that resulted in a fatality.

Investigators say that a 2006 Audi station wagon was traveling south on Dixie Highway at a high rate of speed while a 2021 Honda Civic, with a driver and two passengers, was traveling east on W Palmetto Park Rd.

The investigation revealed the driver of the Audi station wagon failed to stop at the red light striking the Honda Civic and pushing it through the intersection into two vehicles stopped at the red light on northbound Dixie Hwy.

One passenger from the Honda was ejected from the vehicle’s left rear and died on the scene. The second passenger from the Honda fled the scene but was later found at West Boca Medical center. The Honda’s driver, a 20-something-year-old female, was taken to Delray Medical Center as a trauma alert.

The driver of the Audi, identified as 28-year-old Duane Williamson of Deerfield Beach, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the two other vehicles were not injured.

Boca Raton Police note there is an active criminal investigation.
