BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — Boca Raton celebrates its Centennial year by hosting one last event on the Intracoastal. The City of Boca Raton will unveil new public art installations at Wildflower Park on December 6th which will establish a new attraction for residents to visit the waterfront area near East Palmetto Park Road.

The City of Boca Raton established the Centennial Legacy program to honor its 100th anniversary through this public art installation. The restroom building at the park features large mosaic murals which produce sufficient light to attract viewers from throughout the entire green area. The Mi Casa Your Casa 2.0 swings have returned to the park with Centennial-themed decorations. The interactive swings which initially appeared in downtown Boca Raton several years ago have returned with their same design.

The City invested funds to enhance the splash pad area. The City improved the park design to display its waterfront position through new colorful features which draw annual family visitors. The Palmetto Park Road Bridge supports new murals which depict Boca Raton's natural scenery by showing its shoreline and birdlife and plant species that characterize this Intracoastal section.

The series represents one of the last Centennial projects which will take place before the new year begins. The park installation serves two purposes by honoring Boca Raton's natural beauty and historical heritage and local artistic expression while creating enduring art for future generations.

The public can experience the new park features at a community event which will take place on December 6th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The artists who worked on this project will attend the event to explain their artwork to visitors while answering their questions. The event welcomes all visitors who wish to view the park during its late morning hours.

The park entrance at 551 E. Palmetto Park Road leads to the bridge base where visitors can access the downtown waterfront area. The project receives support from Public Art Boca together with Creos and Palm Beach County.

The City provides complete information about this project through its Public Art Boca webpage and Boca100 Centennial website at Boca100.com.
