BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton stays sunny and comfortable today with highs in the mid 70s, but a high rip current risk remains posted for Palm Beach County beaches through Wednesday evening.

Today’s Weather – Tuesday, February 10, 2026

Boca Raton wakes up to a quiet weather day, the kind that looks like a postcard if you’re driving the I-95 corridor or heading east toward the beach. Mostly clear and mild early, with a warm-up into the afternoon that stays comfortable for February.

The National Weather Service forecast for the Boca Raton Airport area calls for sunny skies today with a high near 74. Winds start out calm, then pick up later in the day. By afternoon, expect an east wind around 5 to 9 mph, enough to put a little push on the flags near the sand and keep the air moving along places like Ocean Boulevard and the Intracoastal.

For most people around town, it’s straightforward: good visibility, no rain in the forecast, and an easy day for errands, school pickup, and time outside. Along Glades Road and out toward Lyons Road and the western suburbs, it stays mild and stable. The bigger story isn’t inland. It’s at the shoreline.

A high rip current risk is posted for Coastal Palm Beach County, including Boca’s beaches. The rip current statement warns of dangerous rip currents that can pull swimmers away from shore into deeper water. The guidance is simple: swim near a lifeguard, and if caught in a rip current, relax and float, don’t fight the current. If you can, swim parallel to the shore to work out of it. If you can’t, face the beach and wave or call for help.

Tonight stays mild. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a low around 61. Winds turn southeast at 5 to 8 mph during the evening, then become light and variable after midnight.

The broader forecast discussion from the weather service describes benign conditions continuing across South Florida, with mild temperatures and no meaningful triggers for rain. There is mention of patchy fog possible in interior areas near Lake Okeechobee early this morning, but that’s not expected to be a major factor around Boca itself.

Marine and Beach Conditions

Boaters get a mostly friendly setup today, but seas are not flat. For the Atlantic waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach out 20 nautical miles, the marine forecast calls for southeast winds around 5 knots, becoming 5 to 10 knots late morning and afternoon. Seas run 3 to 5 feet, with occasional 6-foot sets possible. Intracoastal waters are forecast at light chop.

For mariners running offshore from Boca or passing through the area, that combination can mean a bumpy ride at times, especially if you’re in smaller craft or staying near inlets where conditions can change quickly.

Current Advisories / Watches / Warnings

High Rip Current Risk through Wednesday evening for Coastal Palm Beach County (FLZ168).
The advisory warns of dangerous rip currents capable of pulling even strong swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Recommended safety steps include swimming near a lifeguard and not swimming against the current if caught.
