The Solid Waste Authority is telling people that they will pick up that old tree but there is a catch. Don’t lug your 12 foot trees out with the trash just yet. The SWA has said that normal collection crews will only take trees 8 feet tall or shorter weighing less than 50 pounds.

If you have a bigger tree, you must cut it in half for garbage collectors to pick it up for you. Don’t forget to take off the ornaments first!
