BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A Boca Raton woman was arrested for DUI-UNLAW BLD ALCH – DUI DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR PERSON OF ANOTHER, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

A Boca Raton woman has been arrested early Thursday morning by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an arrest affidavit submitted by Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of Sedgefield Terrace in West Boca in response to a vehicle accident at approximately 12 AM.

A witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, called 911 when she heard a commotion and observed a dark-colored vehicle in the bushes of a residence behind her house. The witness reported that she approached the vehicle to ask the woman if she needed any help. The witness reports that she could hear the woman accelerating the vehicle.

PBSO deputies responded and requested assistance from the DUI unit when they suspected the woman may be under the influence.

The DUI investigator arrived and performed a field sobriety test that the education leader failed. The woman told the investigator she had two glasses of wine before she left her friend’s house. The woman estimated the time to be 11 PM when it was actually 1 AM.

The woman provided a breath sample to which she failed, blowing a .182 and .186. The legal requirement for a DUI in Florida is .08 BAC.

The woman was booked by PBSO at 4:37 on Thursday morning. Court records indicate the woman has been released without bond. The woman has a court date scheduled for 6/9/22.
