BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Boca Raton’s Financial Service Director retires after 41 years of dedicated service to the City.

After dedicating over 41 years of service to the City of Boca Raton, Linda Davidson, the Financial Services Director, will be retiring in late August 2024. In light of her retirement, the City of Boca Raton announced that Jim Zervis has been appointed as the new Financial Services Director. The City of Boca Raton says that Zervis brings experience from his role as the Chief Administrative Officer for the County of Kern, California. In that capacity, he oversees county wide strategic planning, capital improvement planning and funding and manages a budget of $3.5 billion for financial planning and debt management.

While Zervis was only the Chief Administrative Officer of Kern County for about 6 months, he has significant experience working in the background in other local government roles in the Kern community.

Zervis will officially assume his new role as the Financial Services Director in late March 2024. Until Davidson’s retirement on August 31, 2024, she will join the City Manager’s office and work closely with Zervis to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining an excellent level of service for our community.
