PEMBROKE PINES, FL (Boca Post) — The Pembroke Pines Police Department has charged Iesha Richards with attempted murder after she fled to Miami following a violent attack on her domestic partner.

According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at approximately 5:10 a.m., members of the Pembroke Pines Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of SW 101 Terrace (The Landings) due to several calls made to 9-1-1 regarding an adult female who had been stabbed by a suspect and was knocking on neighboring apartment doors for help.

Before PPPD officers arrived on the scene, the suspect removed the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. Upon officers arriving in the area, officers located the adult female victim with multiple stab wounds. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital by Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue with life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and victim were involved in a domestic argument that escalated. PPPD tells Boca Pos that this is an isolated incident and at the time of the initial investigation, there was no threat to the general public.
The suspect, Iesha Richards, 31, of Pembroke Pines, was located in Miami-Dade County where she was taken into custody and transported to Miami-Dade County jail for attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, armed robbery with a deadly weapon, domestic battery by strangulation, and grand theft auto.
