Not A Happy Ending For Owner Of Area Massage Parlors Arrested For Running Prostitution Ring – Maricela Ramirez
HOLLYWOOD, FL (Boca Post) — Hollywood Police and Broward Sheriffs Office arrest a Miami woman for running a prostitution ring out of her 4 massage parlors throughout Broward county.
Maricela Ramirez, 47, of 1100 Biscayne Blvd in Miami, has been arrested at her residence in downtown Miami and is being charged with deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution, money laundering, and use of a two-way device to facilitate a felony.
This arrest is the result of a investigation which started in 2019 when Hollywood Police Department investigated allegations of prostitution activity at Luna Azul Spa in Hollywood, FL. Hollywood PD detectives attached to a Broward Sheriffs Office task force investigated the allegations and the scope expanded to 3 other locations owned by Ramirez.
According to Broward Sheriff’s Office, Ramirez has been booked in to the Miami Dade jail but is expected to be extradited to Broward county soon to face her charges.
