Lauderdale Lakes, FL – The Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Broward Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a 5 year old child is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Lauderdale Lakes on Sunday 12/19/21.

According to a press release from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a 5 year old boy, identified as Se-Maj Green, is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Lauderdale Lakes.

Green was plying near 2225 NW 32nd Terrace when he ran in to the street where he was struck by a Honda Pilot driven by 29 year old Fadline Petit of Lauderdale Lakes.

Petit reportedly stopped immediately, exited her vehicle, and attempted to render aid to the child. The boy’s mother transported the boy to Plantation General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

BSO says that impairment, excessive speed, and mechanical malfunction are not being considered as contributing factors to this crash. BSO reports that this is still an ongoing investigation.
