DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — BSO arrested 37-year-old Michael Sampson for the stabbing death of 71-year-old Joseph Anthony Monteiro in Deerfield Beach.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide investigators have successfully solved the case of a Deerfield Beach resident’s murder.

Michael Sampson, who was apprehended on December 23, 2023 due to an unrelated felony warrant, now faces an additional charge of premeditated murder relating to Joseph Monteiro’s death.

On December 18, 2023, a little after 1;30 p.m., BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue paramedics were called to 300 S.E. 12th Ave. In Deerfield Beach concerning an unresponsive man who appeared to be deceased. Upon arrival at the apartment, deputies discovered a knife near the victim’s body in the bedroom and promptly requested the presence of homicide and crime scene detectives for further investigation.

Through diligent investigative techniques, analysis of surveillance footage and evidence collected at the crime scene, BSO homicide detectives successfully identified Sampson as the individual responsible for fatally stabbing Monteiro.

Sampson is currently held without bond at BSO Main Jail. His charges include unauthorized credit card use, possession of Fentanyl, a felony warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery on an individual over 65 years old. Additionally, on January 12th, 2024, he was also charged with premeditated murder.

  1. Typical low-life black-on-black crime which pervades the black community. This type of crime far-out-weighs all other crimes and is not addressed by anyone in the black community. This, in addition to the break-down of the black family, assures that blacks will never have equal opportunity in our society, as it is self-limiting and self-initiated.
