BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A Boca Raton woman was arrested for domestic battery, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Victoria Rickert, 62, from the Vistazo At Boca Raton, has been arrested early Friday morning by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. Boca Post has been notified that the charges filed include “Domestic Battery” in violation of FSS 784.03.

Deputies responded to the clubhouse area in the Boca Glades community on Glades Road in Boca Raton at about 8:30 PM on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 regarding a domestic disturbance.

According to an arrest affidavit submitted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the faint sound of a female yelling could be heard but not found. Then, as deputies continued to search for the screaming woman, a truck was observed backing out of a parking spot near the clubhouse. Deputies asked the driver if he heard anything and they then observed blood on his face. A female was also observed in the vehicle,

Deputies then had both occupants exit the vehicle. Robert Magnus, 52, had blood and scratches on his face. Victoria Rickert, 62, had blood on her knuckles.

Deputies learned that Rickert became upset with Magnus when she learned he had been texting other women. Rickert allegedly emptied her drink on his head and threw her cup at him. At some point, the two left Magnus’ friend’s residence and took their argument outside. According to Magnus, that is when Rickert “went after him.”

Magnus said he didn’t want to press charges and was said to be uncooperative with the investigation. Unfortunately for Rickert, Florida law does not require the victim of domestic battery to press charges.

Rickert was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail just after 12 am on Friday morning. PBSO tells Boca Post that Rickert was released shortly after 6 PM without bond.

It is unclear how the relationship will work out as a judge ordered Rickert to have no contact with Magnus.
