The suspect spoke exclusively to Boca Post and advised us that he has filed a complaint with the Boca Raton Police Department for the way this situation was handled. Further, the suspect tells us that his lawyer cannot believe that he was even arrested.

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A Boca Raton has been arrested for child abuse according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

A Boca Raton man has been arrested early Tuesday morning by the Boca Raton Police Department. Boca Post has been notified that the charges filed include “827.03(2D) CHILD ABUSE – DOMESTIC”.

According to a probable cause affidavit submitted by Boca Raton Police Department, officers report that they responded to the Boca Raton home Code 3, lights and sirens, in response to a domestic battery in progress.

Officers found a highly intoxicated father who was accused of pushing his son. The family says the father was removing smoke detectors at approximately 1:30 AM when they all tried to get him to stop.

At some point, the father and the son pushed one another. The father was subsequently arrested for child abuse.

Boca Post has redacted all personal information from this report as a courtesy to the victims in this case which is obviously everyone involved.
