BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — The City of Boca Raton tells Boca Post that Boca Boo Days have returned this year and the city is pleased to announce the spooky fun for all throughout the month of October.

Thursday, October 13

  • Fall-Oween Spooktacular Show & Parade – 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Drop in for a special Halloween show with Magician James Changefield (at Spanish River Library 1501 Spanish River Blvd.) and Grizelda the Good Witch (at the Downtown Library 400 NW 2nd Ave). Come dressed in your costume for a trick-or-treat parade after the show! For more information contact 561-544-8584. Admission is free.

Saturday, October 15 & Sunday, October 16

  • Spooky Sounds Science Demo – 3:30 p.m. each day

In a season of shrieks, join in the fun as we investigate the science behind spooky sounds.  This FREE event is open to ages 7 and up at the Children’s Science Explorium, 300 S. Military Trail. For more information contact 561-347-3912 or visit www.sugarsandpark.org

  • Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival – 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. each day

The Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival is back at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real. Enjoy a large selection of pumpkins, carnival rides, pumpkin-inspired food court, a maze, and more! The Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park, 300 S. Military Trail, presents a hilarious take on the classic horror story, combining zany antics, a witty script, and high-energy comedic performances for one unforgettable adventure in Transylvania. Celebrate Halloween at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, 1801 N. Ocean Blvd., with outdoor crafts, games and activities for the little ones. Kids are encouraged to attend in their coolest costumes!   • The Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience – 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Experience this cult classic like never before at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center, 201 W. Plaza Real. Sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Do you dare to take a nighttime stroll through the haunted hammock at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, 1801 N. Ocean Blvd? Join your guide on a hair-raising walk through the hammock forest.
