Delray Beach Man Arrested For Threatening To Kill Cops And Social Worker

DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Chester Daniello of Delray Beach has been arrested and charged with several felonies including misuse of the 9-1-1 system and threatening a public servant, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Chester Daniello, 73, of the Lake Delray Apartments in Delray Beach, has been arrested by the Delray Beach Police Department. Boca Post has been notified that the charges filed include misuse of the 9-1-1 system and four counts of threatening a public servant.

According to an arrest affidavit submitted by the Delray Beach Police Department, Daniello threatened the life of a law enforcement officer as well as the President of the local Interfaith Committee, an organization that operates shower trucks and assists the Caring Kitchen in the area.

The following voicemails were left on one of the advocate’s cell phones, referring to the president of the charitable organization:

  • “She won’t be there Tuesday”
  • “Let me tell you something, I’ll go to jail, ’cause she’s going to be dead, I swear to (expletive) God to you!
  • “If she fucks with me ever again, she might as well be dead, and that a real threat!”
  • “Who the (expletive) she think she is, alright, believe me when she’s dead she don’t have to worry about my (expletive) mail, I’ll have someone else kill her, BYE!”
  • “You better call me back baby doll, because when I get ahold of her, or when my friend does, she’s dead! BYE!”
  • “Call me back, ’cause she won’t be there Tuesday, ’cause I’m going to take care of that problem, don’t worry about it.”
  • “Guess what, I’ll take care of the problem, I don’t have to do anything but sit in my house, I’ll get a drug addict to (expletive) her up.”

Once the voicemails were reported to Police, they responded to Daniello’s residence. Police report the following:

Daniello was inside his residence smoking a cigarette on a recliner and refused to answer the door. Aside from knocking I also attempted to call Daniello on the phone. Daniello told me I didn’t have a warrant so he wasn’t going to answer the door. Daniello also made a false 911 call by calling 911 while Ofc. Warne and I were on scene and verbally combative with the dispatcher.

Later in my shift, I received a phone call from Daniello but I was in the middle of assisting an individual so I told Daniello I did not have time to talk with him at the moment. I warned Daniello that he could be arrested for the threats against Fenney’s life and the misuse of 911.

After hanging up with Daniello he began to repeatedly call my phone and left multiple messages, one in which he threatened my life. Below are some quotes from the threatening message Daniello left on my voicemail:

8/8/22 at 3:30 PM: “Whatever charges you got stick them up your (expletive) ass, as far as you can get them. Don’t come near me, I’ll blow your fucking head off! Believe me when I tell you. You”re going to be the next (expletive) Delray police officer that is dead. I don“t (expletive) around. You don’t know me, but I swear to God you come around me (expletive) and you going to be dead, alright, got it? Report that to the police department!”

8/12/22 at 11:18 AM: “Well, I’m Chester Daniello. I heard you want to arrest me. Is that what you want to do? Well God bless, on the way to the court I’m going to kill your (expletive) ass! How’s that for a threat? How’s that? Is that good enough? Dont (expletive) with me, I’m telling you dont know who I know. So come on down to my house right now, and I’ll (expletive) you up, you (expletive) (expletive)!”

8/12/22 at 11:22 AM: “He wants to arrest me, well guess what, I don’t care who comes where I’m at. He’s going to be (expletive) dead. How’s that? And then he can arrest me after he’s dead.”

8/12/22 at 11:39 AM: “Well my message is, (expletive) Damien and his (expletive). I’m telling you right now if he comes near me I’m going to shoot him to death. Put that in the threat. Alright. When he’s dead what is he going to do about it? When he gets here, if he thinks he’s getting here, I dont care where I see him, he’s going to be dead.”

Daniello later turned himself into police custody. Daniello was arrested and charged with the following:

  • 4 counts of 838.021(3B) CORRUPTION BY THREAT AGAINST PUBLIC OFFICIAL OR FAMILY
  • 365.172(14) FALSE 911 CALLS

Chester Daniello was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 4:33 PM on Thursday afternoon. Daniello has since been released from jail after posting a $27,000 bond.
