LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL — A man died in a crash involving a Tri-Rail train and a bicyclist on Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
PBSO said deputies were called to the 1800 block of Lake Worth Road at 7:41 a.m. on July 24, 2026, for a crash involving a Tri-Rail train and a bicyclist. One adult male was found dead, according to the Sheriff's Office. PBSO did not release his name, age or city of residence.
The Sheriff's Office did not describe how the crash happened. Its initial information did not include the bicyclist's direction of travel, the location of the crash relative to any railroad crossing, or whether crossing gates, signals or other traffic controls were involved.
PBSO said one adult male died. The agency did not say whether anyone else was injured or provide a time that the man was pronounced dead.
The investigation is open and ongoing, PBSO said. The Sheriff's Office did not say whether its Traffic Homicide Unit is leading the case, and no charges were mentioned. The crash was not described as a hit-and-run.
