BOYNTON BEACH, FL — The City of Boynton Beach is planning its Fourth of July fireworks show at Intracoastal Park on Saturday, July 4, and the city is billing it as the largest fireworks display in Palm Beach County. The celebration is also tied to the country's 250th birthday.
The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 2240 N. Federal Highway, with an opening ceremony at 5 p.m. and fireworks scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., according to the city. Admission is free and open to the public.
For residents planning to attend, the logistics matter as much as the lineup. On-site parking at Intracoastal Park is restricted to ADA use only, according to the city's event flyer. Everyone else is being directed to free shuttles running from off-site lots.
The city lists four shuttle pickup locations:
- Hester Center, 1901 N. Seacrest Blvd.
- Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, 970 N. Seacrest Blvd.
- First Baptist Church of Boynton Beach, 301 N. Seacrest Blvd.
- City of Boynton Beach Employee Lot, 100 SW 1st Ave.
The flyer also references shuttles from 3301 Quantum Blvd. and Eco Park, according to the City.

The lineup includes more than 20 food and drink vendors, among them Tony's Hot Dogs, Haleigh's Lemonade, Chef Leon Caribbean Taste and More, Tacos Veracruz, Empanada Outlaws and Clark's BBQ & More, according to the city's vendor list.
Activities will include face painting and glitter tattoos by Face Art by Daisy, a 45-foot Ferris wheel, a multi-lane potato sack "Fun Slide" and a carnival swing ride from Florida Carnival & More, and inflatable games including a Carnival Hammer Strike and Toxic Meltdown from Jupiter Bounce.
Live entertainment includes roaming performers from Rainbow Circus, with a hula hooper, stilt walkers, costumed characters and a balloon artist. DJ Sipe will run two performance stages. On the main stage, 6 After Midnight is listed as the opening act and Southern Blood as the headliner. The city's materials list slightly different set times for the bands; Boca Post has flagged the time discrepancy for clarification.
The city is also enforcing a list of prohibited items. According to event guidelines, attendees may not bring bikes, e-bikes, skateboards, scooters, hoverboards, drones or remote-controlled vehicles; firearms, personal fireworks, sparklers, smoke bombs or laser pointers; tents, umbrellas, canopies, oversized coolers or inflatables; alcohol, marijuana or other illicit substances. Pets are not allowed, but service animals are permitted. The city says people who do not comply will be asked to leave.
"Fourth of July is a special time for the Boynton Beach community to come together," City Manager Dan Dugger said in the announcement. "We invite residents and visitors to enjoy the celebration safely and responsibly as we honor the resilience of our nation and the strength of our community."
The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. The event is free. Additional details at the official event website.
