Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigators reported a fatal pedestrian crash at South Military Trail and Forest Hill Boulevard.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL — A pedestrian was killed Friday night in a crash at South Military Trail and Forest Hill Boulevard, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

PBSO identified the pedestrian as John Gray Digregorio. The crash happened at 8:41 p.m. on May 29, 2026. Digregorio died at the scene, according to PBSO.

Investigators said Luis Montalban, 35, of Pahokee, was driving a 2024 Toyota RAV4 northbound on South Military Trail at Forest Hill Boulevard.

According to the crash report, Digregorio was on the center median on the north side of the intersection before leaving the median and crossing the northbound lanes of South Military Trail. PBSO said he crossed mid-block rather than using the crosswalk.

The front of the Toyota struck Digregorio, according to investigators. The report states Digregorio then struck the hood and windshield of the vehicle before separating from it.

Digregorio came to rest in the outside northbound lane. PBSO said the Toyota came to a controlled final rest north of him in the outside northbound lane.

Montalban was not injured, according to the report. PBSO did not list charges in the provided crash information.

A follow-up PBSO email provided with the report states that next of kin had been notified.

The crash remains listed under PBSO’s Traffic Division investigation.
