LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A motorcyclist died after a crash on North Dixie Highway in Lake Worth Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
PBSO says the crash happened on May 14, 2026, at about 11:04 a.m. at North Dixie Highway and 13th Avenue North in Lake Worth Beach. The crash involved a 2014 Hyundai Elantra driven by 24-year-old Jacqueline Rebecca Ruth and a 2007 Triumph Speedmaster motorcycle driven by 66-year-old John Dudley Dey.
Investigators say the Hyundai was traveling northbound on North Dixie Highway, approaching the intersection of 13th Avenue North in the inside travel lane. The motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Dixie Highway, approaching the same intersection in the outside travel lane.
According to PBSO, the driver of the Hyundai proceeded to make a left turn, entering the path of travel of the motorcycle. The front end of the motorcycle then collided with the right center portion of the Hyundai.
Dey was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center after the crash. PBSO reported that the driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
On 05/16/2026, at approximately 8:56 p.m., Dey was pronounced deceased at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
PBSO says next-of-kin notification has been made. The crash remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
