CORAL SPRINGS, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Missing juvenile Skylee Merino has been found unharmed in Georgia after a Coral Springs runaway investigation that involved local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Skylee was located on May 6, 2026, by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office in a suburban area outside Atlanta, Georgia. Her location was determined by a detective with the Coral Springs Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit, which used numerous investigative resources to find her.

Police said Skylee was recovered in good health. Her parents have been notified and will make arrangements to reunite with her in Georgia.

The update closes a major part of the public-facing investigation into Skylee’s whereabouts, though Coral Springs police said there are no further updates to provide at this time.

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office was the agency that physically located Skylee in Georgia. Coral Springs police remained the lead local agency tied to the runaway investigation, with the department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit handling the investigative work that led authorities to her location.

For residents who had been following the case, the key update is direct: Skylee has been found. She is unharmed. Her parents have been notified. The next step is for her family to reunite with her in Georgia.
