BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton Police issued a traffic advisory Monday afternoon reporting lane closures on Dixie Highway just south of Glades Road because of a crash.
According to the advisory, one northbound lane and one southbound lane in that area are closed due to an accident. Police asked drivers to seek an alternate route.
The advisory was sent at 1:52 p.m. Monday.
The closure affects a key north-south corridor in central Boca Raton near Glades Road, a major east-west route that carries traffic to and from Interstate 95 and downtown. With lanes blocked in both directions, drivers should expect delays and congestion approaching the area from either side.
Boca Raton Police did not provide details on injuries, vehicles involved, or how long the lanes are expected to remain closed.
For residents and commuters, the immediate guidance from police is to avoid Dixie Highway just south of Glades Road and use an alternate route until the lanes reopen. Drivers should also watch for changing traffic patterns near the closure and allow extra time if traveling through central Boca Raton.
