 This is an update to a story first reported by Boca Post reported last week.

In October and early November 2025, the Boca Raton Police Department working closely with local retailers and the South Florida Criminal Apprehension Team (SFCAT), identified and apprehended Tatyana Shavone Johnson in connection with a series of organized retail thefts.

On October 31, 2025, Johnson was arrested after targeting Dick’s Sporting Goods, where officers recovered approximately $700 in stolen merchandise. She was released from custody on November 1, 2025, and immediately resumed theft activity, this time targeting Publix stores for cosmetics and home goods.

On November 4, 2025, Johnson was located and taken into custody a second time. Deputies recovered an additional $1,400 in stolen merchandise.

Johnson was rebooked into the Palm Beach County Jail, where she is currently being held with NO BOND.
